Job description

To expand our product team, we are searching for an experienced Product Designer who can guide our product decisions through an evidence-based, outcome-oriented and lean design process. We seek a versatile professional who should have expertise in research, prototyping, and concept testing to identify the right solutions for the right problems, but is also a skilled Interaction Designer capable of translating such findings in convincing solution ideas.

Your contributions to our journey:

As a Product Designer, you will guide product decisions through an evidence-based, outcome-oriented, and lean design process.

  • Discovery: Conduct and conclude discovery interviews to identify and frame the right problems.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Lead the team’s collaborative solution process, always aiming for the best user outcome while balancing feasibility and scope for the current iteration.
  • Validation: Validate your concepts and designs with users to ensure they deliver the intended value in the most usable and desirable way.
  • Support Development: Assist your team’s engineers from sprint to sprint to ensure timely and quality delivery.

As a member of the 'design tribe,' you will co-develop our component library, design language, and advocate for a design culture.

  • Design Evolution: Collaboratively evolve Flinn's brand, design language, and component library with engineering and marketing.
  • Consistency and Quality: Ensure platform consistency and quality, providing a convincing and coherent user experience across all touch-points.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for a problem-centric product development approach within the company through exemplary work and an inclusive, transparent design process.

Job requirements

What you have done in the past:

  • Extensive UX/UI Design Experience: You have conceptualized and crafted digital UIs end-to-end for 3+ years, focusing on visual and interaction design, with 5+ years of overall working experience.
  • Discovery: You have applied e.g. design thinking methods to identify, frame, and address user problems, and have prepared, conducted, and synthesized user research to back up your design decisions.
  • Solution Ideation: You can translate insights and learnings into solution concepts, wireframes, and coherent UX flows within a living platform architecture.
  • Validation: You have created prototypes, validated them, and derived high-fidelity visual solutions for web and/or mobile products.
  • Tool Mastery: You are proficient with design tools, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, pencil and paper, and more.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You have worked closely with Product Managers and Engineers as part of a scrum team.
  • Designer Collaboration: You have experience collaborating with other Designers across different teams and topics.
  • Design Systems: It is a strong plus if you have developed and maintained a design system before.
